Description

This course is essential to the vocal music major as it trains the students as future educators, performers, and business owners in the areas of diction, the International Phonetic Alphabet, and the four Romantic singing languages. The tools learned in this course will help the students to nurture and challenge their own students in the future, serving both as classroom and studio instructors, and will help vocal majors in the field of music business. At four year institutions, it is a class that is usually taken during the sophomore year, thus, by offering it at DC3, the students will not be a year behind in this course work at the next level of their education.
