Description

This course, offered only through DCCC's summ er Leadership Institute, focuses on cultivati ng leadership skills in students of vocal mus ic. To this end, students will be engaged in private voice study; public vocal performanc e; choral singing; and solo and group singing -acting. They will also take introductory cl asses on music history, vocal performance his tory and practice, basic vocal anatomy and ph ysiology, foreign language diction, and funda mental music theory and ear training skills. Students of the Vocal Music Leadership Insti tute will also, in the late afternoons and ev enings, be actively involved in rehearsals, t echnical theater work, and/or general prepara tion for involvement in the annual Summer Mus ical of The Depot Theater Company.
